[3:26]  ¹ tc The phrases in this verse seem to be direct objects without verbs. BHS suggests deleting the sign of the accusative (for which see P. P. Saydon, “Meanings and Uses of the Particle אֵת,” VT 14 [1964]: 263-75).

[3:26]  ² tn Heb “for all the service of it [them].”

[22:13]  ³ tc The LXX adds “to your lord.”

[22:13]  ⁴ tn The main verb is the Piel perfect, “he has refused.” This is followed by two infinitives. The first (לְתִתִּי, lÿtitti) serves as a complement or direct object of the verb, answering the question of what he refused to do – “to give me.” The second infinitive (לַהֲלֹךְ, lahalokh) provides the object for the preceding infinitive: “to grant me to go.”

[23:6]  ⁵ tn The Hebrew text draws the vividness of the scene with the deictic particle הִנֵּה (hinneh) – Balaam returned, and there he was, standing there.

[23:15]  ⁶ tn Heb “he”; the referent (Balaam) has been specified in the translation for clarity.

[23:15]  ⁷ tn The verse uses כֹּה (koh) twice: “Station yourself here…I will meet [the Lord] there.”
